Calvin Blassingame, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, has lived in Myrtle Beach since 1991. During that time he has established himself as a noted artist in the southeastern United States. He has displayed art in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina as well as having admirers in New York and California. Calvin’s current collected works include interpretations of the human form, jazz selections, afro-gospel selections and depictions of life in the African-American church.
Calvin is also the president and co-founder of The Roundtable Art Group, which focuses on bringing further awareness to the arts along the Grand Strand. The Roundtable Art Group continues to spread its influence within the community by working closely with charities, hosting art shows, and holding art workshops.
