After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Kansas in 1997, Edmee Rodriguez began working for the Emporia Gazette, then went on to The Springfield News-Leader, The Olathe News, and The Overland Park Sun. Throughout her career, Edmee has worked for many other newspapers and magazines. Since moving to the Myrtle Beach area, Edmee freelances for The Sun News and private clients. In the last few years, Edmee has begun showing her artwork and recently participated in the Art to Wear Fashion Show, an I Heart Art event for the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, and The Roundtable Art Group’s Annual Show.
As a photojournalist for almost twenty years, Edmee acquired quite a collection of photos. Always having a camera with her, some of the art Edmee produces are images made while on assignment for various publications. Most are things that capture her eye wherever she goes.
