Joseph Barnhill is a self-taught artist whose work has been shown in several galleries throughout the region. Joseph began drawing when he was learning to read. He preferred images to words, admiring the works of animator John Kricfalusi and cartoonist Jhonen Vasquez. Joseph’s work, though vivacious and delightful, also depicts a postmodern world polluted with human waste and corruption. He resides in Myrtle Beach and finds inspiration from the city’s transitory lifestyle.
