Ursula Hockman is a graphic designer and aspiring illustrator who considers herself an avid happy person and is inspired by all things in the natural world. A majority of her personal work is created using watercolors depicting bold and bright imagery.
Ursula grew up in a small rural town in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania surrounded by the lush landscapes of many state parks and rivers, which influences much of her work. After high school she found herself yearning to experience life in the south and is a proud 2012 graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a B.A. in Graphic Design.
In the past, Ursula has worked as Art Director of The Chanticleer and Archarios, Coastal Carolina University’s student run newspaper and literary arts magazine. She is the recipient of four Silver ADDY awards and a national 3rd place Associated Collegiate Press finalist for Archarios Literary Arts Magazine. She is currently the Web Director at Native Sons Screen Print and Embroidery. On the side, she runs Ursula Says Hello, which is an online store that provides prints of her artwork and downloadable printables such as stationery, wedding sets and more.
